Sandra Akins
Founder of The CompanYogi | Corporate Wellness Educator | Certified Nutrition Coach | Yoga Instructor
Sandra Akins is a corporate wellness educator, certified nutrition coach, yoga instructor, and the founder of The CompanYogi, a wellness initiative dedicated to helping individuals and organizations cultivate healthier, more energized lives.
Born in Mexico City, Sandra began her professional career in communications and public relations, earning a degree in Communications with a specialization in Public Relations. Early in her career, she held leadership roles as Director of Public Relations at Universidad Cuauhtémoc and Universidad Politécnica, where she developed strategic communication programs and cultivated strong institutional relationships.
After moving to the United States, Sandra continued building her professional career while working with global organizations such as Sabre, Collinson, and Texas Instruments. Her years in the corporate environment gave her a deep understanding of the pressures modern professionals face: long hours, demanding responsibilities, sedentary work conditions, and the gradual erosion of personal health and well-being.
She witnessed firsthand how many people begin their careers full of ambition and dreams, yet over time, their health becomes secondary to professional and family obligations. This realization became a turning point in Sandra’s life and ultimately led her toward the field of health, wellness, and longevity.
Determined to help people reclaim their health, Sandra pursued extensive training in the wellness field. She earned her Nutrition Coaching Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and completed additional certifications as a Yoga Instructor and Personal Trainer through The Cooper Institute in Dallas, one of the nation’s most respected organizations in preventive health and fitness education.

In addition to her professional work, Sandra is deeply devoted to motherhood, which she considers her greatest and most meaningful life experience. Her belief that life is precious and that health allows us to enjoy more meaningful years with the people we love continues to inspire her work every day.
Outside of her professional life, Sandra enjoys practicing yoga, attending concerts and films, visiting museums, and experiencing the arts, which she considers an essential source of creativity and inspiration.
Sandra’s life mission is to help people live longer, healthier, and more vibrant lives. She believes that with intention, knowledge, and a clear plan, every person can improve their wellbeing and build a life of strength, vitality, and purpose.
